Working from home during self-isolation

Two weeks into an enforced lock down from the UK government, we wonder how work forces are managing to maintain productivity levels and continue to carry out their jobs, in a new way of working. The Saqqara team normally works together in an office together with regular working from home and on client sites, so for us, it is business as usual.  However, we are now located in our own homes, and still able to fully support our clients as if in the office.

How we are managing to offer constant support

More than ever, our IT systems are crucial to our businesses survival. Companies are being forced to change the way in which they work, how they deliver or provide goods and services to end users. It is critical that IT is provided in a way that makes work as seamless as possible, and at the same time ensuring that it is safe and secure. We have ensured that our existing clients are able to operate their businesses remotely. We have provided laptops if needed, both for purchase and hire, and a software-based phone system (3CX) which enables organisations to replicate their work-based system at home.

Our own Saqqara team have regular internal meetings (by face to face technology using Microsoft Teams!) to better serve our clients.

Supporting our customers remotely

Our engineers can use a remote agent to access client laptop’s if necessary, to fix or investigate issues or to install new programmes. This is carried out safely and securely and with full cooperation and communication with each individual.

Managing your costs

We will work with each of our clients to ensure that any new measures, which allow home working, do not create unmanageable costs to the organisation. We will work with you to streamline the IT function and create efficiencies at this time of remote working.

In addition, we can offer marketing support if needed, to understand how your business could adapt to new opportunities and survive in this unusual and unprecedented episode.
